Characteristics of the bearing: The angular is the angle between the line of the contact points of the steel ball and inner & outer rings raceway, and the radial direction. The size of the angle determines the radial and axial load the bearing sustains during operation. The bigger the angle is, the axial loading. The smaller the angle is, the better it suits the high speed rotation.
The bearing can only sustain the load from a single axial direction, so the bearings are usually double installed. During the double installation, preload are often brought in, to improve the rigidity of the bearing and the rotating precision.
